Lunch Menus
Nutritious Meals, Thoughtfully Crafted
At Rosemead School District, every meal is thoughtfully crafted by our Nutrition & Wellness Department, under the guidance of an on-staff registered dietitian.
Our menus follow the nutrition standards set by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP).
The Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010 strengthened these programs beginning in the 2012–13 school year, ensuring that every child has access to healthy, balanced meals at school. These updates introduced age-appropriate standards and key improvements, including:
✅ Minimum servings for grains
✅ Minimum servings for meat/meat alternates
✅ Increased offerings of fruits and vegetables
✅ Expansion of whole grains
✅ Calorie, saturated fat, and sodium targets to promote balanced nutrition
Our goal is to nourish students with meals that support learning, growth, and lifelong healthy habits.
Navigating Challenges, Nourishing Students Every Day
As the school year continues, our Nutrition & Wellness team is working diligently to ensure that students have access to their favorite, nutritious menu items to support a productive, learning-filled day.
Like many school districts across the nation, we are experiencing ongoing supply chain disruptions and labor shortages, which can occasionally impact product availability and menu consistency.
Despite these challenges, our commitment remains the same — to provide healthy, balanced meals that fuel every student’s success. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to adapt and serve our school community with care.
